When someone approaches, the sensor detects changes within the configured detection area and sends a signal to the controller. The controller then issues the appropriate command to open the door, keep it open, or close it depending on the operating conditions.<\/p>\n<p>However, a sensor does not always perform the simple task of detecting whether someone is present. Depending on the integrated technology, the device may detect movement, presence, direction of travel, or monitor the area immediately around the door, depending on the function of each sensor type.<\/p>\n<p>For example, NABCO currently uses various sensor technologies, including infrared sensors, microwave sensors, and image sensors.
