The airport plays a key role in air transportation connectivity, promoting socio-economic development in Thanh Hoa province and neighboring provinces, serving as a major gateway for the North Central region of Vietnam.<\/p>\n<p>Tho Xuan Airport\u2019s passenger terminal covers a total usable area of 5,460 m\u00b2, featuring a spacious two-story design with ample natural light and ventilation. The airport has one runway measuring 3,200m x 50m, capable of accommodating medium-sized aircraft such as the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737. The apron area is designed to handle multiple aircraft simultaneously, especially during peak hours. As of 2022, the airport has a passenger handling capacity of 1,200,000 passengers per year and 600,000 passengers during peak hours, marking significant growth in civilian aviation activities.
