For this reason, a high level of security is paramount and always a top priority at the Embassy.

In terms of scale, the main entrance gate area of the Embassy is spacious and requires strict control over both vehicle and pedestrian access. This is not just a standard access point but a highly critical security checkpoint, demanding a gate solution that is not only robust but also capable of efficient and continuous operation.

Optimized Security Solution: Sonha Auto Installs 3-Phase Automatic Sliding Gate at the Embassy of Japan

FAAC 884 MC 3PH sliding gate – 8 years of reliable operation

To meet the stringent requirements for security and continuous operation at a critical project like the Embassy of Japan, in March 2017 Sonha Auto upgraded the security system by installing the FAAC 884 MC 3PH automatic sliding gate – a heavy-duty 3-phase industrial motor from FAAC (Italy).

This motor is designed for gates with a maximum weight of 3,500 kg and operates with a powerful gearbox, ensuring:

• High capacity with smooth operation, ideal for high-security areas.
• Stable and durable performance, with minimized noise to avoid impacting the surrounding environment.
• Excellent load-bearing capacity to handle continuous vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

Up to now, after 8 years of use (2017–2025), the FAAC 884 MC 3PH sliding gate motor has continued to deliver smooth, stable, and highly reliable operation — reaffirming the quality and significance of the solution Sonha Auto provided for this critical project.

Comprehensive upgrade with BFT SP3500 sliding gate (2025)

In September 2025, Sonha Auto once again partnered with the Embassy of Japan to enhance its security system by installing the BFT SP3500 automatic sliding gate.

This is one of the most advanced 400V 3-phase electric motor sliding gate solutions, engineered specifically for critical projects:

• Exceptional capacity: Handles gates with a maximum weight of up to 3,500 kg.
• Outstanding speed: Sliding speed of up to 10 m/min, ensuring quick opening and closing to meet instant security demands.
• Industrial-grade design: Durable 3-phase motor built for continuous heavy-duty use, maintaining stable operation under high traffic conditions.

The deployment of the BFT SP3500 not only upgrades the access control system to the highest level of security but also underscores the prestige of the project with a state-of-the-art, safe, and durable industrial sliding gate solution.

In addition, the smart and secure control system features an advanced controller integrated with safety functions such as anti-crush sensors, automatic stop/reverse, and maximum protection for both people and vehicles. Notably, the installation process carried out by Sonha Auto’s technical team was closely supervised and coordinated with the investor – including the Embassy’s security unit and technical experts as well as the main contractor, including the project director and engineers from Obayashi Corporation.
