Overview of the VinFast Factory Complex

VinFast – a symbol of Vietnam’s automotive industry – proudly owns one of the most advanced automobile and electric motorbike manufacturing complexes in the region. Located on a vast 335-hectare site in the Dinh Vu – Cat Hai Industrial Zone (Hai Phong), the complex is designed with an impressive production capacity of 38 vehicles per hour. In Phase 1, each factory aims to produce 250,000 vehicles per year, with plans to expand to 500,000 vehicles annually in Phase 2. The electric motorbike plant alone can scale up to 1 million units per year.

More than just a cluster of production facilities, the VinFast complex is a fully integrated industrial ecosystem. It includes an administration building, automobile manufacturing plants (featuring body, paint, engine, assembly, and auxiliary workshops), electric motorbike production plants (with welding, painting, and assembly lines), a supporting industrial zone, a training center, and a research & development institute (R&D). Additionally, the complex houses the Vsmart smartphone manufacturing plant, with an annual capacity of 5 million units.
