Overview of the Cat Hai – Phu Long Station Project

Located in Chan Hamlet, Dong Bai, Cat Hai, the Cat Hai – Phu Long station is a key component of the Cat Ba oversea cable car system – a major transportation project in Hai Phong City. The station spans a total length of 3,955 meters, with 60 cable car cabins currently in operation. Each cabin accommodates up to 30 passengers, with a maximum transport capacity of 4,500 passengers per hour. This cable car route serves as a strategic connection between the mainland (Cat Hai Island) and the renowned tourist destination Cat Ba Island, offering a modern and impressive mode of transportation.

Given its significant role, the project not only greatly reduces travel time from the mainland to the island—enhancing convenience for both tourists and locals—but also contributes to the development of green and sustainable tourism in the Cat Ba Archipelago. As an environmentally friendly transportation solution, it helps minimize impact on the region’s natural landscape.

In terms of scale, Cat Hai and Phu Long Stations are the two main terminals of this oversea cable car system — a remarkable project that has set multiple records in length and technology, establishing itself as a new symbol of Hai Phong tourism.

Son Ha Auto Installs NABCO Automatic Doors at Cat Hai – Phu Long Stations

To ensure smooth and safe passenger flow while enhancing the experience of millions of visitors at these key stations, Son Ha Auto was honored to be selected to implement the NABCO automatic door system — a leading brand from Japan. As part of this project, Son Ha Auto was responsible for installing the main entrance automatic doors at both terminals: Cat Hai Station (departure point) and Phu Long Station (arrival point). A total of 10 NABCO DSN-150 automatic sliding doors were deployed — a premium product line engineered to meet the high demands of performance and durability in high-traffic public environments.

The decision to install NABCO automatic doors at the Cat Hai – Phu Long Station was driven by the system’s outstanding advantages. Known for smooth operation and exceptional durability, NABCO doors utilize powerful motors and advanced technology to ensure quiet, seamless, and long-lasting performance – ideal for the 24/7 high-traffic environment of the station. Particularly noteworthy is the intelligent anti-collision sensor system, which instantly detects obstacles and reverses the door motion to prevent accidents, offering maximum safety for passengers, especially the elderly and children. Aesthetically, NABCO’s sleek, modern design with clear tempered glass brings a touch of elegance and creates an open, harmonious space that blends perfectly with the station’s architecture – while allowing visitors to enjoy the surrounding landscape. Moreover, the doors’ airtight design offers excellent insulation and dust resistance, effectively reducing noise and preventing outside dust from entering. This helps maintain the station’s air-conditioned environment and contributes significantly to energy savings.
