INSTALLATION OF NABCO AUTOMATIC DOOR SYSTEM AT PLEIKU AIRPORT

Overview of the Pleiku Airport project

Pleiku Airport is one of the key aviation gateways of Vietnam’s Central Highlands region. Located in Chu H’rông Commune, Chư Sê District, Gia Lai Province, the airport plays a crucial role in facilitating air transportation and boosting socio-economic development in Gia Lai and neighboring provinces. As a Class 3C airport managed by the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), Pleiku Airport features modern infrastructure with a total floor area of 3,174.53 m², comprising 2 floors and 2 aircraft boarding gates. It is capable of handling 300 passengers per peak hour and serving up to 600,000 passengers annually.

In 2015, the passenger terminal underwent major expansion and upgrades to accommodate aircraft such as the Airbus A320, A321, Boeing 737, and similar models—enhancing service quality and cargo handling to better connect the Central Highlands with major cities. Given the airport’s high-frequency operations, its entrance system requires safe, continuous performance with effective passenger flow control. At the same time, it must align aesthetically with the terminal’s modern design to ensure a seamless and pleasant passenger experience.

Sonha Auto enhances Pleiku Airport with NABCO automatic doors

With proven expertise and a strong track record in installing automatic doors for large-scale public infrastructure, Sonha Auto was honored to be selected as the contractor for the automatic door system at Pleiku Airport. A total of 15 NABCO automatic doors were installed at the airport by Sonha Auto. The model used is the NABCO DS 150 NET DS SYSTEM—a specialized automatic sliding door series engineered specifically for high-traffic environments like airports.

The NABCO automatic door system features highly responsive sensors that enable precise and completely safe door operation for all passengers—including children and the elderly. The doors operate smoothly and quietly, with high durability and the ability to handle continuous high-frequency usage while maintaining optimal performance. Notably, the system’s capability to integrate with smart access control solutions enhances the efficiency of passenger flow management. With its sleek and modern design, NABCO doors not only fulfill functional requirements but also elevate the overall aesthetics of the airport.
