Overview of Tho Xuan Airport scale and capacity

Tho Xuan Airport, also known as Tho Xuan Airfield (formerly Sao Vang Airport), is an important mixed military-civilian airport located in Sao Vang town, Tho Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province. The airport plays a key role in air transportation connectivity, promoting socio-economic development in Thanh Hoa province and neighboring provinces, serving as a major gateway for the North Central region of Vietnam.

Tho Xuan Airport’s passenger terminal covers a total usable area of 5,460 m², featuring a spacious two-story design with ample natural light and ventilation. The airport has one runway measuring 3,200m x 50m, capable of accommodating medium-sized aircraft such as the Airbus A320 and Boeing 737. The apron area is designed to handle multiple aircraft simultaneously, especially during peak hours. As of 2022, the airport has a passenger handling capacity of 1,200,000 passengers per year and 600,000 passengers during peak hours, marking significant growth in civilian aviation activities. Currently, Tho Xuan Airport is not yet recognized as an international airport but plans for future expansion and upgrades are underway.

To meet increasing demand and improve service quality, the airport has set a key goal to upgrade its entrance door system. This aims to ensure safe and stable operation, effectively manage passenger flow, and enhance the modernity and aesthetics of the entire airport space.

We have successfully installed 6 sets of NABCO Natrus VS 150 automatic sliding doors – a high-tech specialized door line from Japan, designed specifically for modern airport environments.

The system features precise sensors that ensure smooth and absolutely safe door opening and closing for passengers. The doors operate durably at high frequency while maintaining stable performance continuously. Notably, advanced obstacle detection technology enhances safety. With a modern and elegant design, NABCO doors not only fulfill their functional roles but also contribute to enhancing the overall aesthetics of the airport.
