Introduction to the scale of Ha Long International Passenger Port project

Ha Long International Passenger Port is the first specialized port in Vietnam dedicated exclusively to international cruise ships. It was invested with over 1,000 billion VND and officially inaugurated on December 30, 2018. This strategic project opens the gateway to welcome millions of international tourists to Quang Ninh and Ha Long Bay — a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site.

The total terminal area reaches up to 13,500 m², consisting of 3 functional floors with a groundbreaking design by Bill Bensley — ranked among the world’s top 5 architects. The exterior space reflects the atmosphere of the ancient coastal town, while the interior simulates the hull of 13th-century ships, creating a unique blend of classical and modern styles. Not only boasting world-class architecture, Ha Long International Passenger Port can simultaneously accommodate multiple ultra-luxury 5-star cruise ships and serve tens of thousands of passengers daily — truly deserving the title of Vietnam’s “golden gateway” for maritime tourism.
